We are delighted to be able to offer for sale this exquisite Vesta case by the renowned Silversmiths Sampson Mordan & Co Ltd. It is exceptional in both quality and condition. Dating from 1905 and bearing a Chester hallmark, the polychrome Enamel Scene depicts a group of hounds in a yard and the detail is wonderful as well as being in excellent original condition. There are, as you would expect a few small surface scratches visible with a glass, and the slightest of dents in the back. The hinge has no noticeable wear, the spring is strong and closes positively. This is the finest example of a Sampson Mordan Vesta that we have had the pleasure to own.
