A lovely quality red walnut fireside chair, in the gothic revival style with green man carving on the back rail. Dating from circa 1880. The chair has been newly upholstered from the frame up using traditional methods and the highest quality materials. We have another one with matching fabric - chair slightly different style.
A handsome and substantial trio of Georgian silver serving spoons. These fine spoons are in fiddle pattern and have a monogram 'L' to each handle. Condition : No dents or splits. A really attractive boxed set of six sterling silver coffee spoons. Each spoon has the back of the bowl enamelled with a different flower. The end of each spoon is topped with an imitation coffee bean (one of these is rubbed). Hallmarked for Birmingham 1962-63, maker T&S, also stamped 'Made in England'. Overall in very nice condition.
A 19th century marquetry cushion framed mirror, with shaped arched top and original hand cut bevelled glass. The frame is of walnut, inlaid with various other woods in a bird and stylised foliate pattern. The original plate mirror, does have a generous foxing to it, although it is not disagreeable. If required we could replace the mirror with a new one, at cost. The mirror has a heavy brass hanging chain.
