A fine quality Victorian Mahogany 4 tier Buffet or Dumb Waiter dating from circa 1830s. The Buffet has attractive turned and carved front supports. It is in good original condition and colour throughout.

French Bedroom Suite

A three piece bedroom suite consisting of bed (king size), wardrobe and bedside cabinet. The suite is has panels of plum pudding mahogany banded by burr Thuya wood. This combined with its brass mounts give it a striking appearance.


Georgian Tortoise shell tea caddy

A fine Blonde Tortoiseshell tea caddy dating from the early part of the 19th century. Each panel of tortoiseshell is separated by metal stringing, and there is also a vacant cartouche to the lid. The velvet lined, hinged lid opens to reveal two lidded tea compartments, each lid with ivory knob. Any restoration has been completed by ourselves and the caddy is presented in excellent condition with working lock and key.


Six cut glass tumblers

Six attractive cut glass tumblers, no makers mark but they are nice quality and all in good condition. Fairly recent in manufacture, possibly 1970s.


EPNS sugar scuttle and scoop

A cute little silver plated scuttle and scoop, modelled like a coal scuttle. It would have been used during afternoon tea, to scoop the sugar lumps for your cup of tea. It has an attractive engraved foliate design. The scuttle does have signs of wear to the silver plate commensurate with age, but no knocks or damage. Dating to the early 20th century. It has the makers mark TL & SS (Thomas Land & Sons, Sheffield) impressed in the base.

Walnut domed top tobacco caddy, C1900

A very attractive walnut domed top cigar caddy dating to around 1900. The caddy has cast brass ball and claw feet, cast brass handles and escucheon, and its original key. The caddy is decorated with boxwood stringing all over, and inlaid with mother of pearl lid.The interior of the caddy is cedar lined with a lidded compartment.


1950s costume necklace

An attractive costume jewellery neckalce dating to the 1950s. This necklace is a base metal set with aquamarine colour pastes, and a single dropper. In good condition. Nice for the party season.


Boxed set of four silver salts with spoons

A pretty boxed set of four Edwardian silver salts with crimped edges, on four ball feet. Two salts have their original gilt interiors, two do not (probably only two have ever been used). There are four matching silver spoons. The set is hallmarked for Sheffield 1903 and 1904, and has the makers mark for Cooper Brothers and sons. The set comes in its original faux leather covered box which is padded and lined with purple velvet, more purple than the photos show. The only damage is the rubbing of the gilding to the interior of two of the salts, some wear to the outside of the display box, and the elastic which held the spoons in place in the box has perished.

Silver Cavalry Sword Letter opener by Sampson Mordan

A rather lovely silver letter opener by Sampson Mordan & Co. In the form of cavalry sword this letter opener has been made in exquisite detail and complete with its silver scabbard. This bears a London hallmark for 1870. The hallmark on the scabbard is slightly rub but perfectly readable and hallmark on the main blade shows no sign of wear at all.

Solid silver teaset, Walter & John Barnard, 1891

A lovely Victorian sterling silver teaset comprising teapot, sugar and creamer in Queen Anne style. The three pieces stands on an oval colet foot, the lower portion of them is embellished with fluted decoration. The teapot is fitted with a flush hinged domed lid, which also features fluted decoration: the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this piece. The lid sports its original carved painted wood and sterling silver urn style finial. The teapot has its original plain angular carved painted wood handle featuring a scrolling thumbpiece. It has a plain spout, ornamented with fluted decoration to the underside. The teaset was crafted by the renowned and collectable London silversmiths Walter & John Barnard, and is fully hallmarked for 1891. The teaset is a good gauge of silver. Condition Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the teaset have surface wear in keeping with age and due to location, but remain legible. The part hallmarks to the interior of the teapot lid are very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this lovely teaset.
