A lovely Victorian figured mahogany veneer wheel barometer or banjo barometer, having swan neck broken pediment above a circular hydrometer in a convex glazed panel, this above a spirit thermometer, behind a domed glass cover, above the original silvered dial barometer which is glazed and brass mounted. At the bottom there is a 'warranted' level. In good original condition, although the barometer tube has been replaced to ensure it is in good working order. c1840
